چکیده

The combined action of waves, surges and tides can cause flooding, erosion dune structure overtopping in many coastal regions. Addressing emergency risk management these areas require a combination targeted campaigns real-time data that measure all phenomena at stake be used to develop comprehensive monitoring platforms. These platforms support the development prediction tools address hazards an integrated way. Herein, we present methodology focused on multi-hazard alert risk, its implementation tailored WebGIS platform. MOSAIC platform offers one-stop-shop capacity access in-situ remote sensing data, hydrodynamic morphodynamic predictions, supported by numerical models: SCHISM XBeach. Information is structured local observatory scale, with regional forcings available for correct interpretation effects. This further applied extended other zones. also provides detailed database past hazardous events, organized along several indicators, western coast Portugal. features unique repository hazard information end-users both long term planning actions.

A multi-platform bathyphotometer for fine-scale, coastal bioluminescence research

Although bioluminescence (BL) in the open ocean has been extensively studied, coastal BL remains poorly under stood due, in large degree, to a lack of BL instrumentation appropriate to measure the fine-scale biological and phys ical complexity of the coastal regime. As a contribution toward understanding coastal BL, we developed the Multipurpose Bioluminescence Bathyphotometer (MBBP). This co...

An Integrated Information Service Platform for Wetland Based on WebGIS

Wetland resource management is an important task in the protection and utilization of wetlands. Given the environmental interests in these wetlands, there is urgent need for a centralized repository and mechanism to share geospatial data, information and maps of wetlands. Our objective is to develop an interactive WebGIS and geodatabase for wetlands providing mapping and data services. This pap...

ANTEO: Sharing Archaeological Data on a WebGIS Platform

Handling and sharing geospatial data from etherogeneous sources in a collaborative way can be addressed by a WebGIS platform, built with open source components. An important role is played by open standards, metadata and open source (OSS) architectures, which we review in the present paper. We introduce Anteo, a WebGIS realized with standard and open software technologies, devoted to exchanging...
